This is nothing new. She DID say that in the TV Guide interview. They cut the stuff out…..

It was meant as irony. Olivia has finally come (thanks to the Verna reveal) peace with not being with Fitz and is now starting over with her life. Hence, Higher Ground in the background which is a song about repenting for past sins and becoming a better person. But once she’s reached that place?

Bam. Reporters at her front door revealing that they know she has been the President’s mistress and dragging her back into the struggle. Which is why the song stops once she pulls out her earphone.

No higher ground for Olivia.

You redeem her Milton. You make way too muchsense. At this point i’m not convinced Shonda knows what she truly meant/wanted lol. They have been working on S3 since May 3rd so i’m sure whatever feedback they got, they’ve now set on what they want for season three.

I weep at the thought of going through the first 12 episodes being of Olivia and her dad issues and Mellie & Fitz having a parent child relationship for show… This will be too hard to take. I’m keen to see how she weaves Olivia being outed and Fitz/Mellie doing the mother/child relationship now lets campaign if her intention is to keep Olitz broken up.

A) Um….I BEEN telling people since the episode aired that the ending was real and Olivia and Fitz were over. I been said that, but folks aint wanna listen and tried to say Flammable had some ulterior motive. NO. Hasn’t she proven herself to y’all yet? All of the notes and shock amuses me because I (and Ale and other people) tried to tell folks.

b) Love Milton’s explanation of Higher Groud. Once again, people tried to make it like that song spoke about Olitz and to have faith. NO. If you listen to the lyric, ish ain’t have anything to do with it.

When are y’all going to realize that Shonda has no fucks to give?

I know y’all may think I’m pessimistic, but I’m only going by precedent.
